If it's time to leave Abruzzo, I will bring Abruzzo with me."

About us

Always passionate about cooking, Michelle started her chef career in 2006 in Melbourne.

With the desire to discover “la cucina italiana”, specifically Abruzzese, she decided to leave Melbourne in 2012 on a search for her heritage in Abruzzo.

While there Michelle worked as a professional chef combining her cooking experience from Australia with “la cucina abruzzese” to gain knowledge of the culture in which her family embraced.

After 6 years she came back to Australia bringing the “Abruzzese” food adventure with her and opened Abruzzo Lab street food in 2017 and to follow Abruzzo Lab – Arrosticini Bar in 2018.

Michelle’s Eatery is focused on serving customers quality food in a casual Italian atmosphere.

“After my adventure through Italy and taking Inspiration from both my nonnas’ kitchens, it was time to make my vision a reality”.

At Abruzzo Lab we want to encourage sharing dishes just as you would at nonna’s table.
